Elder Theresa Demby is the Senior Pastor of Vision Ministries’ Life Skill and Worship Center. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and her spiritual training began as a youth speaking before various groups of people. While in college she served as president of Austin Peay State University Gospel Choir. In 2001, she was licensed as a minister and subsequently as an Elder in 2005 at Vision Ministries’ Life Skill and Worship Center.
In 1986, Elder Theresa Demby received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. For fifteen years she served under the awesome leader and pioneer, the late Dr. Edward Smith. She has faithfully served the Vision body from its inception in 2001. In 2005, she was appointed Elder of Outreach with a goal to serve in the mission field overseas. This became a reality in 2007 when she preached throughout Panama. She served as a facilitator for the Women of Vision bible study sessions and as a member of the Finance Committee. In addition, she ministered in dance with the dynamic and anointed group Essence of Naomi and sang with Vision Worship Ensemble along with carrying out many other tasks as assigned before her appointment as Pastor by Vision’s founder, the late Rev. Dr. Edward Smith in June 2008.
Elder Theresa Demby has one daughter, Barbara Lynelle and a granddaughter Sariya Janae who has the awesome testimony of being the recipient of the gift of a miracle at birth when she was born still, but given life by God.
